Since its founding in 1929, Care to Give has raised awareness about important health issues, lifted patients’ spirits and raised more than $1.2 million. Through donations, profits from its gift shops and signature events such as Party for Pink and Reason to Party, Care to Give’s loyal philanthropy has benefited The Jane H. Booker Women’s Center; Life. Changing. Campaign for Surgical Excellence; the Paint the Town Pink Fund; as well as oncology services at Riverview.
In late 2016 members of Care to Give celebrated the fulfillment of a $75,000 gift to the Riverview’s Life. Changing. Campaign for Surgical Excellence, while pledging an additional $100,000 to Giving Heals in support of Riverview’s new cancer center.
The Care to Give Council compiles an annual report providing the financial and outreach impact. The 2016/17 IMPACT Report was the receipient of The MarCom Gold Award for Print Media & Print Creativity.
